General Purpose Rating (G.P. Rating)candidates perform tasks related to Seamanship, Cargo handling, Maintenance work on deck, Operation and maintenance of Machinery.
The STCW Programme means Standards of Training Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers Programme. The STCW Programme is for those candidates who want to make their career in superyacht cruise ship, a merchant vessel, oil rig, etc. STCW Programme is an international requirement to work in any type of sea-based occupation. With the best faculty, we ensure that our STCW Programme covers all the topics properly and makes the candidates proficient enough to get goods jobs.
After Completion of Pre-sea Training all the candidates have to undergo the following STCW’2010 Basic Familiarization Courses for the issuance of C.D.C/Seaman Book.
You will get the knowledge of hypothermia and its treatment. It also includes knowledge regarding fracture of bones, spine injuries, head injuries, the need for oxygen for humans, electric burns, treatment of bleeding, treatment of electric shocks and burns.
Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting (FPFF) course is one of the four basic familiarization courses ,which a prospective seafarer must do before proceeding to the sea.
The Personal Safety and Social Responsibility (PSSR) course teaches knowledge of and compliance with safe working practices at a basic level. Subjects covered include: Human relationships on-board ship. Understanding orders and to be understood in relation to shipboard duties.
Successful completion of this course should enable candidates to serve on an oil tanker in a capacity other
than Master, Chief Engineer, Chief Mate or Second
Engineer, and to perform specific duties &
responsibilities.
SECURITY TRAINING FOR SEAFARERS WITH DESIGNATED SECURITY DUTIES (STSDSD) The course is open to all seafarers who are to serve on board seagoing merchant ships. There are no particular educational requirements .
